Competitive Intelligence Manager – US (Remote Position)

Due to exponential growth, we are looking for an outstanding senior manager of competitive intelligence. This is a highly visible position that will play a vital role in enabling sales and technical teams to win against key competitors in the Operational Technology (OT) and Internet of Things (IoT) security markets. Expect to interface with engineering, product management, marketing, sales and channel teams to drive awareness and decision making with well-organized competitive intelligence.
Key deliverables will include competitive marketing collateral, battlecards, executive presentations, and other internal and external business and technical level documents. The role reports to the Senior Director of Product Marketing.
What You Will Do

  • With an initial focus on a few key global competitors, the competitive intelligence leader will develop a deep understanding of the competitions’:
    • Corporate and product messaging, positioning and strategy
    • Technical capabilities and claims – key features, functionality, scalability, integration with 3rd party solutions, etc.
    • Major announcements – and what they mean from a competitive perspective
    • Pricing and discounting – for end customers, channel partners, SIs and MSSPs
    • Organization structure, key executive appointments, changes, etc.
    • Go-to-market strategies, investments, activities, focus, etc.
  • The competitive intelligence leader will review and analyze competitive information, then create material to be delivered through various vehicles such as:
    • Monthly written competitive bulletins
    • Monthly webinars
    • Weekly competitive “clinic” for sales teams to bring forward and request assistance on how best to combat competitive threats and FUD in a specific account
    • Real-time emails (within 24-48 hours of major news) or lunch and learns as needed for significant, timely changes
    • Presentations/updates at sales new hire training, QBRs, partner summits, etc.

To Be Successful In This Role

  • Proven experience in a similar position (e.g. competitive analyst, technical marketing engineer, technical sales engineer, technical product manager) in the networking, ICS and/or security industry
  • Technical background in cybersecurity and/or industrial control systems is highly desired
  • Experience building and managing a competitive lab
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth pre-IPO environment
  • Proven ability to create and deliver engaging and effective technical and non-technical presentations to internal and external audiences
  • Highly experienced in digesting technical content, analyzing it and determining key value propositions and challenges to compare and contrast to Nozomi Networks offerings
  • Outstanding written and verbal presentation skills
  • Proven ability to work across multiple departments
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field. MBA or advanced technical degree a plus
