About the Role We are seeking a highly-skilled, team-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our growing company.

In this position, you will be responsible for implementing the day-to-day permitting process of our projects to assure timely permitting and agency approvals.

Responsibilities Take direction from the LU+E Project Manager to prepare permit application packages and process permits for local agency approvals.

Responsible for coordinating comments, revisions, and clearances to ensure timely reviews and approvals.

Effectively track and complete all permitting-related work including new permit applications and permit renewals.

Conduct follow-up with appropriate officials in city, county, or other local municipalities to ensure the permit process is on track for approval.

Report on timelines, potential issues, and general project performance to the LU+E Project Manager on a regular basis.

Qualifications Bachelor’s in Engineering, Architecture, or other related disciplines 1
– 2 years permit processing experience in the City of Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, and local municipalities (Glendale, Burbank, Pasadena, Santa Monica, Inglewood are a plus) Basic knowledge of local residential building and zoning codes, mainly as they apply to Accessory Dwelling Units.

Knowledge of or experience with Factory-Built Housing is beneficial but not required.

Ability to read and review plans Excellent written and spoken communication skills Background in architecture, planning, or land use preferred Able to complete work on tight timelines and maintain a positive and professional attitude We are unable to sponsor visas or relocation at this time.
