Job Description: Great opportunity for an experienced Construction Field General Superintendent with Rigging Experience in Aiken, SC.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS ?

Bachelor?s degree in a technical discipline.

?

16 years of construction experience in a management/supervisory role.

?

Proven working knowledge of construction, safety, planning, the ability to evaluate technical designs data, develop and determine construction techniques and strategies.

?

Proven working experience in managing a multi-disciplined staff in a proactive, value added manner.

?

Proven working knowledge of national codes and standards.

?

Proven fundamental understanding of Construction installation principles, and ability to apply these principles to field conditions including radiologically controlled areas.

?

Proven Fundamental understanding of 1Y Work Control Manual requirements and experience in the execution of detailed construction work plans.

?

Proven working knowledge of environmental regulations.

?

Valid Driver?s License, registration and proof of insurance.

?

U.S.

Citizen able to pass a thorough Government background check.

JOB DUTIES (Include but not limited to and must have proven experience and ability to do with no training): ?

Coordinates with Construction Management to forecast and schedule needed construction recourses including manpower, equipment and materials.

?

Walk down and review designs for constructibility, assist in the preparation of estimates and control tools to track construction performance.

?

Inspects verifies materials, equipment, and construction workmanship and assures compliance with drawings, specifications and code requirements.

?

Coordinates with Quality Control to ensure the installation meets the requirements.

?

Responsible for oversight of field construction activities within a given geographic area.

?

Construction work can include fabrication, installation, modification and maintenance of systems and components up to and including new project or facility installations.

?

Inspects / verifies materials, equipment, and construction workmanship and assures compliance with drawings, specifications and code requirements.

?

Resolves quality control and quality assurance issues and recommends corrective action as necessary.

?

Coordinates with design / construction engineering for scheduling of design outputs and provides design with necessary input to resolve design changes and improve constructibility.

?

Promotes increased productivity and safe work practices with the intent of maximizing use of resources and eliminating injuries.

?

Fosters a “team concept” when interfacing with operations, other departments and divisions and attend scheduled and unscheduled meetings, provide reports, status on projects and identify, address and resolve problems.

?

Identifies and acts on engineering and material restraints to critical jobs through meetings, discussions, reports and verifies that proper tools are in place to clear restraints.

?

Coordinates construction outage schedules, cost controls, priorities, and planning with project /construction management and plant schedulers to achieve successful project implementation.

?

Serves as a member of the project team and design review board for each project from inception to closeout and ensures the highest quality, most economical, timely, and practical design and construction product possible.
