Job Requirements:

Position Summary: The human resource coordinator provides assistance with human resource processes. This role is primarily provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including front desk reception, record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.

    • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
    • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
    • Assists with processing of terminations.
    • Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
    • Assists with recruitment and interview process. Tracks status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.
    • Schedules meetings and interviews.
    • Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
    • Files documents into appropriate employee files.
    • Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
    • Prepares new-employee files.
    • Processes mail.

Minimum Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred.

Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to multi-talk.
  • Excellent customer service.

Preferred Work Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an acute care setting.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential.

Required Licensure, Certification, Registration or Designation:

  • Los Angeles County Fire Card (or obtained within 30 days of hire).
