PR/Communications Droga5 Droga5’s PR team is one of the most respected advertising agency PR departments in the business.

We cover corporate communications for Droga5, its executives, and publicity around the launch of our campaigns targeted at the business and advertising media.

Thought leadership, industry awards, agency social media, speaking engagements, internal events, special projects and more all fall under our remit.

Job Summary The Head of PR & Communications is directly responsible for defining, managing and executing the marketing and communications strategy to promote, enhance, and protect the agency’s reputation and brand in support of the agency’s overall creative and business objectives.

This includes overseeing the day-to-day PR functions, including participation in external events, partnerships and sponsorships, speaking engagements, campaign, corporate and internal communications, brand development and design, and crisis communications, for New York, London, and Tokyo offices.

Job Responsibilities
• The Head of PR and Communications will provide leadership and guidance to advance the public-facing goals of the agency.

As a member of the Executive Team, they will work closely and collaborate with fellow executives to drive forward implementation of Droga5’s vision.

This role should be empowered to be a change agent in the evolution of the company’s growth and culture.

• Play a key role in the ongoing work of strengthening the international reputation and awareness of Droga5
• Actively identify, target and manage editorial and event opportunities throughout the year; engage, cultivate, and manage relations with key press and event organizer contacts in and outside of the advertising industry, particularly focusing on business, technology and consumer segments
• Provide strategic input and guidance to Executive Communications with regards to internal and external communications messaging and approach, coaching and overall executive plan
• Identify challenges and emerging issues faced by the organization.

Work with Executive Team and staff to recognize internal and external communications opportunities and solutions, and define and execute appropriate strategies to support them
• Act as lead liaison into Accenture Interactive coordinating on bigger announcement, enduring partnership is in lock step, etc
• Manage the PR & Communications team: Create and manage a high performing team, providing opportunities for growth along with supervision and support to direct reports and with the ability to pitch in and execute hands on when necessary Basic Qualifications
• 10 years of experience in a PR agency, advertising agency, in-house PR or journalism roles, with a focus on both consumer and business audiences Preferred Qualifications
• Strong media/industry contacts
• A demonstrable track record in strategic communications planning
• Experience and understanding of the social media landscape as a communications tool
• A highly trained sense of editorial judgment
• Proven experience building and implementing thought leadership programs for a variety of senior executives
