Accounts Receivable & Collections

American Cover is a business to business company and has an immediate opening for an Accounts Receivable and Collections Representative.

Responsibilities:

-All accounts receivable related functions,
-Verify incoming purchase orders for availability of credit of accounts and being current
-Keeping track of accounts assigned to you to identify outstanding debts;
-Planning course of action to recover outstanding payments.
-Heavy phone activity and following by email with customers.
-Contacting debtors regarding payment status.
-Negotiating payoff deadlines or payment plans.
-Handling questions or complaints.
-Investigating and resolving discrepancies.
-Establishing good relationships with customers.
-Updating account status and database regularly.
-Alerting supervisors of customers unwilling or unable to pay outstanding amounts.
-Complying with requirements when legal action is unavoidable as per your supervisor’s instructions.

Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of collections experience
Ability to use confidential or sensitive information in a professional manner to achieve collections targets/goals
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and internet
Accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent internal and external customer service skills
Experience with ERP systems and Excel
Must be focused, alert and persistent
Must remain polite and maintain a customer service attitude.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00
– $15.00 per hour
