The Engineering People Strategy organization is seeking an Senior Strategic Engineering Strategy Deployment Manager to join their team. This manager will focus on executing strategies for monitoring, accessing, anticipating, and meeting engineering staffing requirements across the enterprise. This leader will be responsible for the integration of engineering skills teams’ usage of enterprise demand planning and forecasting tools, key metrics, and data analysis to identify and access actionable plans. The selected leader must be able to drive unity across the engineering function to meet current and future workforce needs.

Position Responsibilities:
Collaborate with functional chief engineers, business unit people strategy leaders, HR, and program leaders to proactively identify the critical workforce requirements necessary to execute the business

Lead and facilitate workforce planning initiatives including, but not limited to critical role/capability identification, skill health, gap analysis, risk analysis, and action planning

Leverage a strong relationship with Boeing’s workforce analytics team to ensure quality data and tools are available across Engineering, Test & Technology ( ET&T)

Design and lead engineering staffing strategies across multiple functions to help engineering teams build a diverse pipeline of ready talent

Establish a data-driven planning process for better decision making and to better forecast changes to support demand planning, action planning, supply analytics, and gap analysis

Track, analyze and provide reports to measure the effectiveness of staffing strategies and to drive continuous improvement

Continuously assess existing workforce plans to ensure practical business alignment and lead cross-functional teams in the design of alternative approaches

Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to organize and present information in a clear and concise way to a variety of audiences

This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and does not require applicants to live in Everett, WA, United States.

B asic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience in leading or managing technical teams

5+ years of experience working with senior leaders/executives to establish strategic plans and objectives

5+ years of experience leading cross functional teams

5+ years of experience in project management

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience leading organization through change management

Experienced in factors that influence human behaviors and decision-making at the individual, group, and organizational level

Experience in executing strategic workforce planning strategies

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, applied science, business, analytics, information systems
