Our location in Alameda, CA, currently has an opportunity for a Technical Manager Embedded Development .

The Technical Manager Embedded Development l eads a cross functional team in the development of new products.

Works closely with project management as a key technical project advisor.

Finds solutions to complex product development problems.

Develop working relationships with cross functional groups’ vendors and senior/executive management.

WHAT YOU’LL DO Lead/perform product definition, system architecture, requirements writing, requirements management, requirements analysis, risk analysis, hazard analysis, product test and evaluation, System V & V, and/or design control documentation.

Responsible for project planning, managing resources, the creation of project schedules.

Lead integration of analytical and performance related elements with software, hardware, and electronics system components.

Provide technical direction/advisor to project teams Responsible for utilizing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.

Communicate effectively and participate on cross functional development teams with good negotiating skills to direct multidisciplinary teams toward solutions.

Lead, design and conduct system level characterization/verification of complex systems; collect, organize, analyze, and document test results.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING Bachelor’s Degree In engineering or physical science with 8 plus product development experience in engineering or physical science or equivalent.

Extensive experience in general engineering/science principals and laboratory skills.

Extensive experience of contemporary design control and risk management practices.

Strong knowledge of defined development process that is consistent with ISO, FDA design control standards or requirements.

Expertise in embedded device development to include EE, software , DVT and labs EMC/safety testing.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Preferred Experience: Leading engineering teams, or sub-teams in embedded medical device development Experience managing TPM’s and builds for device development Experience managing Vendors for Build and Testing of embedded devices Experience as a personal contributor to embedded medical device engineering, preferably electrical or software.
