Full Stack Developer
We are looking for a Full Stack Java Developer to join the AArete Technology Services (ATS) team.
AArete develops applications and products that are both custom (open source, .Net, Java, React, etc.) and configured (based on libraries/screens in enterprise platforms).
These include:
- Analytical applications with interconnected screens and visualizations
- Operational applications (CRM, ERP, BMP, RPA, ticketing systems, etc.)
- Digital properties such as websites, portals and mobile applications (web-based and native)

The Role: As a Full-stack Java developer you will be responsible for automating data connections using REST API from existing React JS web forms to newly provisioned and populated backend data sources such as a SQL Server database.
The practitioner will also play a key role in developing reusable front end containers coded in React JS that are easily deployable.
Development of these containers will be informed by existing wireframe prototypes.
Once developed, the containers should automate most of the UI with only a minority of the web page requiring customization, which the practitioner will be responsible for.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and modify software systems and custom components using modern dev stack
- Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users or system engineers
- Be a self-starter providing creative and innovative ideas or solutions continuously improving the technological offering.
- Write clean, self-documenting code following standard methodologies on coding incorporating unit testing.
- Analyze systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigate problem areas
- Integrate existing software into new or modified systems
- Develop and execute test procedures for software components
- Analyze user requirements to derive technical software design and performance requirements
- Lead development teams to provide technical deliverables in accordance with SDLC methodologies such as SCRUM and Agile
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
- 5+years of Full Stack software development on web and client/server solutions
- 5+ years of experience with Java, Angular, ReactJS, CSS, JavaScript, HTML
- 5+yearsof experience developing web applications utilizing Java Enterprise Edition (J2EE), XML, or Web Services at an enterprise level
- Experience with Spring Framework, JMS, SOAP and REST web services
- 5+ years of experience working with J2EE Framework components such as Servlets, JSP, JDBC, Logging mechanism (ex.
Log4J), Transaction Management and Thread Management
- 5+ years of experience writing SQL/Functions/Procedures in transactional database systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2
- Deep understanding of developing Web-services, HTML UI, CSS and JavaScript
- Experience with Eclipse IDE and Spring Framework
- Experience with performing code reviews and recommending automated review tools
Preferred Skills
- Experience in developing and deploying applications using Cloud based technologies
- Strong verbal and written communication, with an ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding.
- Solid interpersonal, negotiating, and marketing skills to work with users, senior management, and external personnel on significant matters, often requiring coordinated activity across organizational lines.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques in a highly complex environment using technology
