Financial Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:

Analyst is responsible for performing for a full range of activities which ensure the operational effectiveness and excellence of the business unit.

The Analyst will design and document workflow and make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact operations and improve financial monitoring and reporting.

He or she will perform monthly variance analysis, provide monthly budget expense and capital forecasts, assist with plan and forecasts, perform research and analysis, develop ad-hoc operational reporting, develop presentation materials, financial / ERP system querying, compile/reconcile data from multiple databases / systems and assist in proper recording, accounting and reporting of transactions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The position is a combination of Finance and Accounting.

The person will assist in the profit and improvement process.

The analyst will conduct business unit audits and general ledger account audits as needed.

The Financial Analyst will observe financial representations throughout the company, document processes, evaluate business needs and make recommendations to improve the through put.

Provide the necessary data to upper management to improve operations
Aid upper management as it related to performed task assigned

Act as a liaison between Financial Planning and company accounting
Business Unit Audits
General Ledger Expense Audits
SOP Audits, documentation and construction
Operational cost analysis
Aid in the development of company wide quantitative performance metrics
Perform feasibility analysis
Work with management to ensure accurate and timely reporting
Provide the data analysis necessary for management to make improvements to operational processes
Improve operational reporting functions within the entire organization
Maintain systemic controls throughout the organization
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors Degree in Finance/Accounting
Minimum three years prior experience in financial and/or business analysis with financial statement preparation; financial services
Must have strong analytical (quantitative as well as qualitative) skills including building financial models, prior data mining experience
Audit experience
5-7 years of accounting experience
Microsoft Office Products; advanced knowledge in excel
Experience in cost accounting and statistics
Mathematical skills;
Probability and statistical interference, fundamentals of algebra, percentages, rations, proportions

· Bilingual Spanish, is a plus

SKILLS & ABILITIES

· High proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required; familiarity with data query/data management tools extremely helpful (Pivot tables, Access, SQL, Cognos)

· Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills, and be comfortable interacting with executive-level management

· Strong mathematical aptitude plus organization & time management skills.

Familiarity with Microsoft PowerBI helpful

· Experience in financial and/or business analysis with financial statement preparation

· Expert or High proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required; familiarity with data query/data management tools extremely helpful (Access, SQL, Cognos)

Pay: $65,000.00
– $75,000.00 per year
