Senior UX Designer

For this opportunity Media.Monks is looking for a UX lead to head the user experience and product development for one of our key tech clients.

You will be working within a dedicated team in collaboration with our client’s teams to continue development and growth of products and features of key customer platforms and experiences.

We would love to find someone with not only an amazing ability to identify customer pain points and craft impactful results, but also be the team player who reads and listens between the lines, helping to create strategic alignment with teams and stakeholders on bringing the best possible solution to life.

In this role you will:

  • Be part of an international team that builds the tools needed for our large global clients to work together with our ever-growing organization.
  • Help shape the platform by bringing fresh ideas to the table, putting a spin on content and interaction ideas to elevate the experience to new heights.
  • Produce high-quality UX deliverables like detailed wireframes, user flows and journeys.
  • Interview end-users to understand and ensure the design based on actual needs.
  • Validate your solutions by creating (quick) prototypes for usability testing.
  • Translate brand values, creative concepts, UX documentation and user–stories into functional design solutions.

    You’ll collaborate closely with your project’s team, consisting of multidisciplinary Monks.

  • Employing your problem–solving skills and your full stack of design solutions to guide projects from start, finish and everywhere in between to ensure the highest quality of the delivery.
  • Presenting your work in person and through video calls to colleagues and clients, coming up with and proposing new and exciting solutions for production.

    You’ll prototype your designs where needed to provide additional clarification.

  • Conceive and facilitate client working sessions (as needed) to create understanding and strategic alignment with stakeholders and internal teams.
  • Work with client development teams to vet creativity against technical capability to ensure successful delivery of components for production
  • Create crystal-clear briefings for our designers and developers and produce lean documentation of features and functionalities.
  • Propose additions and adjustments that will contribute to the commercial and creative goals of the project.
  • Have opinions and not be afraid to voice them.

Requirements:

  • You prove your experience design prowess through your online portfolio with at least 5+ years of experience in User Experience or Product Design.

    Beyond aesthetic excellence, your portfolio demonstrates exemplary presentation, research, troubleshooting and problem–solving skills.

  • Masterful skills in Sketch and Figma to produce wireframes and designed components ready for development.
  • You have experience with responsive web design for complex enterprise platforms, knowledge of mantainint
  • You have strong social and communication skills that ensure smooth collaboration.
  • A thorough understanding of design fundamentals such as typography, interaction design and usability, grid systems, white space, aspect ratios and colour theory, tying all of these elements together with attention to detail.
  • Mastery of all modern design and prototyping tools (Adobe CS, Sketch, Figma, Principle…).
  • You’re tidy, and you know how to organise your files, layers and folders to make the lives of colleagues easier.
  • Familiar with organizing work for team members into ticket systems such as Assembla or Jira.
  • Bonus points for
    • Knowledge of creating components and experiences built on Adobe Experience Manager.
    • Knowledge of delivering and maintaining design systems.
    • Crafting and building personalized experiences and user journeys.
