This position is a temp-to-hire opening on 1st shift with a chemical manufacturer in Elgin.
The job involves manual mixing of chemical components , including cutting and lifting bags of dry material to add into the mixing vessel.
The position also requires a respirator to be worn at all times, which is provided.
Other duties include using a forklift to transport 55-gallon drums (no exp.
required), cleaning the mixing vessels between batches, and running the batch cycle.

Job Requirements: Mix the compound to specifications Reporting to the shift supervisor Pull the dough trough to the front of the mixer once the dough has completed cycle Bringing in-process samples to the lab for adjustments Checking the warehouse to ensure there is enough product for the machine Maintain cleanliness of the department refering to the Housekeeping standard Describe the principal functions, the level of knowledge typically required, and the scope of responsibility for the position Receive batch approval prior to the batch going to the fill room Plan work schedule to be available to replace the Operators for breaks Learn the installation of products and be able to train contractors to install the products in the field Know the goals and objectives of the department Sanitizing all equipment necessary for the manufacturing of food Check the size for proper solids during the run of each warp using the Refractometer Inform the Supervisor or the representative of any deviation or difference to the standard method Set up prior to start of production to aid in efficiency of production Taken out of the buckets and given to the Cone Operator Sanitize all equipment necessary for the manufacturing of food products Record the weight on the bottom of the mixing sheet Assume the duties and responsibilities Provide the dough into the extruder
