BeautyUnited

BeautyUnited, a project of the Tides Center, is seeking a Program Manager to implement a portfolio of major projects impacting multiple, strategic core functions and components.

This person is accountable for providing research, project management, budgets, and coordination for three tentpole programs of the organization: the Mentor Program, the Job Fair, and Fellowship program.

This role reports directly to the Executive Director and liaisons with the Board of Advisors.

Our programs include the following: The BeautyUnited Mentor Program, which aims to remove barriers of entry to the industry, establishes a pipeline of talent, and creates leadership from within the industry; the Entrepreneurship and Intrapreneurship Fellowship; and eventually expanding to the BeautyUnited Job Fair for Career Advancement and the BeautyUnited’s data and analytics program’s DEI Industry Insights.

The ideal candidate works well with strong female leadership and passionate entrepreneurs.

This candidate would also enjoy a fast-paced working environment and is knowledgeable about the beauty and wellness space.

They have experience working with talent and teams across entertainment, sports, nonprofits, start-ups, and agencies.

The ideal candidate maintains strong boundaries and has an understanding of their own communication in order to harness the networks and resources available to BeautyUnited to propel the project forward.

Responsibilities

Fellowship

Reporting to the Board of Advisors, the Programming Committee, and the Executive Director, the Program Manager will be responsible for ensuring the success of the planning, execution, and delivery of the BeautyUnited Fellowship.

The Program Manager is responsible for overall product design and direction, as well as supervision of all vendors and consultants.

Within that role, they perform the following responsibilities:
Serve as the BeautyUnited project liaison and point of contact
Support producer in project management and execution of timelines
Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by overseeing tasks in coordination with the producer
Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
Track project costs in order to meet budget
Provide team input on programming and rollout
Support Community Manager in strategy creation and coordination for community engagement activities
Job Fair

Reporting to the Board of Advisors, the Programming Committee, and the Executive Director, the Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of the BeautyUnited Job Fair.

The Program Manager is responsible for overall product design and direction, as well as supervision of all vendors and consultants.

The execution of the project will be completed by a digital events agency.
Draft RFP for an agency partner for the planning, execution, and delivery of the BeautyUnited Job Fair
Evaluate, select, and onboard agency and production partner(s)
Draft brand partnerships strategy for Job Fair; Direct partnerships booking and liaison for production partner
Maintain brand relationships and support onboarding brand partners onto the Job Fair events
Draft talent strategy for Job Fair; Direct talent booking and liaison for production partner
Maintain work process flows by coordinating information and requirements with related vendors, consultants, employees, and committees; participate with and provide resources to production team
Create and present reports to Board of Directors and relevant stakeholders
Continually assess and update responsibilities and strategy in order to ensure a successful production and launch of the Job Fair
Sessions

Reporting to the Board of Advisors, the Programming Committee, and the Executive Director, the Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of BeautyUnited Sessions.
In coordination with Community Manager, draft program strategy, scope, and objectives
Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
Track project costs in order to meet budget
Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
Write program materials and review with stakeholder for final copy
Book program talent and coordinate scheduling, releases, and preparation
Prepare for Session by providing research and briefing materials
Mentor Program
Support agency partner in the strategy & execution of Mentor Program special events
Serve as the BeautyUnited project liaison and point of contact
And other tasks as assigned

Salary: $80,000

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00
– $80,000.00 per year

COVID-19 considerations:
The team is current working in an on-site/remote hybrid working environment but will eventually move to fully onsite in 2022 according to COVID health regulations and guidelines.
