Responsibilities
The Rape Treatment Center (RTC) Coordinator of Community Outreach and Prevention Education will provide state of the art sexual assault and abuse prevention programs individually tailored to community organizations, law enforcement agencies, schools and college campuses throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
We are looking for a subject matter expert with experience in curriculum development and program presentation to:
Develop/update prevention education, training materials and activities based on best practices and current research.
Coordinate the RTC campus and community outreach programs.
Schedule and present prevention education and training programs tailored to schools, college campuses, community organizations and law enforcement agencies.
Foster collaborative working relationships with all constituents to assure effective implementation of RTC programs and services.
Participates in providing 24-hour on-call services for sexual assault victims 1-2 weekday overnight on-call-shifts per month.
Qualifications
Requirements:
LCSW or Licensed Clinical Psychologist or MA/BA in Public Health, Public Policy, Gender Studies or related field.
** Minimum of five years’ experience developing, presenting and evaluating sexual assault prevention education programs for a variety of audiences.
** Knowledge of developmental issues related to children, adolescents and young adults, culture of campus life, current research-based sexual assault prevention programming for all target audiences, and fluency in bystander research and applications relevant to college campuses and other settings.
** Ability to represent UC, Hospital, and RTC effectively and communicate program mission and goals.
** Ability to establish rapport and maintain ongoing effective collaboration and working relationships with schools, colleges, law enforcement and other community agencies and constituents.
