As a CI Training Specialist, you will be establishing and maintaining a continuous improvement culture in ABB, utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodology and creating transparency to monitor progress.

Reporting to the Quality Director, you will be responsible to deliver high-quality, engaging and effective learning experiences for production operators, teams and leaders that are aligned with the business needs and organizational goals for manufacturing procedures and production.

This position is responsible for the delivery and execution of new hire orientation, product specific training and professional development.

You will contribute to continual learning and development activities, improvements and initiatives that serve all the manufacturing team members by ensuring that operators adhere to ABB work instructions and PPE requirements.

Your responsibilities Develop and deliver training material to plant employees including; written procedures (SOPs), MS PowerPoint / multimedia presentation content, hands-on learning activities and POKA content, Document and verify training completion and evaluate the effectiveness of courses and materials Conduct technical onboarding training for new employee hires and Coordinate the design and content creation of training courses and resources with assistance in developing courses as well and Coordinate external training with technical schools and other training institutions Partner with managers to identify training opportunities and develop solutions to address gaps, participate in continuing education and professional development activities, Facilitate Lean Workshops using Lean Tools, VSM, A-3, etc.

Collaborate cross-functionally with departments and internal stakeholders for on-going learning and development, employee engagement and retention efforts Create a positive, engaging learning experience that holds our organization to high standards for performance and reinforces ABB’s core values Identify the developmental needs of employees and coach, mentor, or otherwise assist them to improve their knowledge and skills, provide feedback to associates on their progress and Strictly adhere to company philosophy/mission statement/goals Use relevant information and strong judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with internal standards and guidelines, comply with ABB’s Code of Conduct and demonstrate professionalism in all training interactions The CI Training Specialist will have the autonomy in making decisions to maximize the effectiveness of training for production team members in the areas of Safety, Quality and Delivery Your background High School/GED and minimum 6 years of training/continuous improvement experience working in a manufacturing setting OR Associates degree and minimum 4 years of training/continuous improvement experience working in a manufacturing setting OR Bachelor’s degree and minimum 2 years of training/continuous improvement experience working in a manufacturing setting Must have MS Office skill and strong written and verbal communication skills IPC soldering knowledge, Lean Trainer certification and Sis Sigma Blackbelt preferred Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US Benefits Retirement plan Life insurance Disability insurance Medical insurance Wellbeing program More about us ABB Drive Products is a technology leader serving industries, infrastructure and machine builders with world-class drives and softstarters.
