Accounting and Office Assistant

Who:

  • We are a 7 year old international startup out of West LA, specializing in wholesale plastics for the greenhouse and horticultural industry. Our small but highly motivated team is making our mark in the industry by bringing a fresh and innovative approach to sales and business dealings. With 7 years of business and $15 million in revenue under our belt, we are expanding rapidly and looking for another exceptional team member.

What:

  • We are looking to hire one person to assist our Accountant team.
  • We are specifically interested in a candidate who is knowledgeable in Quickbooks (invoicing, accounts payable, receivables, inventory management) and will proficiently create and maintain Client orders with the ability to track shipments from departure to arrival, as well as assist in filing, responding to emails, and other accounting and administrative department related tasks.

  • We are located in West Los Angeles, blocks from Downtown Culver City.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 1 year of experience in bookkeeping / accounting field
  • Knowledge or interest in horticulture is a plus, but NOT required
  • Excellent written, verbal, and organization skills
  • Team player and willingness to collaborate
  • Must be proactive and display accountability for tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including but not limited to: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word
  • Please list any languages that you are fluent in.
  • Must be willing to work part-time
  • Must be able to multi-task, pay attention to details, and follow instructions

Required to be in the office 2-4 days a week during the first 1 or 2 months depending on COVID-19 situation. Then it will eventually change to 5 days a week at the office.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 – $24.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

COVID-19 considerations:
All employees are required to wear a mask indoors when moving around. Seating areas are spaced at least 6 feet apart. Common areas are sanitized regularly.
