Workplace Operations Manager

 

FaZe Clan is the world’s premiere gaming lifestyle company at the intersection of gaming, apparel, eSports, and music. We are seeking an Assistant Controller to help lead accounting operations and take over the close process. The Assistant Controller’s primary tasks include supporting the Controller with the supervision of accounting staff; leading the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes; and reporting updates to the Controller. This role is currently remote, but the company expects an eventual return to an office environment.

 

FaZe Clan is looking for an experienced, professional and accountable Workplace Operations Manager that can oversee our new headquarters and support our growing team.

 

Location: Los Angeles, CA

 

What you’ll do:

  • Manage the Los Angeles FaZe Clan office building.
  • Work closely with the design and construction teams on projects and planning.
  • Manage vendor contracts and oversee building and grounds maintenance. This means overseeing the reception team, managing cleaning, waste disposal, parking and security while still keeping payment records and managing budgets. Manage office supplies, inventory and place orders as necessary.
  • Identify, develop, recommend and implement cost saving opportunities and seek approval for recommendations.
  • Apprise the space of any and all conditions affecting building services and employee comfort and recommend facility repairs and/or improvements
  • Maintain communications with landlords and local teams to address any office-related needs
  • Assist with workplace day-to-day operations including hiring, training and managing of 3rd party workplace staff (security and janitorial) and support the delivery of their technology, standard protocols and procedures
  • Partner closely with real estate, development and compliance teams to ensure operational needs are met for any tenant improvement work, new construction, expansion and other workplace initiatives
  • Manage ad hoc projects related to workplace services, operations and development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on company-related initiatives (IT, HR, admin, operations) What we’re looking for:
  • 4 + years of work experience leading facilities/workplace operations and/or project management
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience and/or training
  • Must live in the Los Angeles area. Must be on call to handle workplace emergencies
  • Expertise in managing logistics across workplace
  • Knowledge of applicable Federal, regional and local health & safety and environmental regulations (OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA, etc.), and an understanding of globally analogous regulations
  • Proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Gdrive, MS Word, Excel. Knowledge of Crestron and Cybex security system is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to understand and create metrics to drive efficiencies
  • Team Management Experience. Strong vendor relationship management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a customer service background
  • Ability to work independently and strategically. Self starter.
