Workplace Management Solutions Director

Newmark seeks a full-time Director to represent and grow its workplace management solutions (WMS) service offering, a new and transformative approach to outsourced services.

The WMS is a ‘workplace first’ approach to CRE services delivery, enabling our clients to focus on their core business, whilst we take care of the rest.

The role focuses on service management, leading and delivering service excellence to clients through an outsourced workplace services model.

This position will support in the transformation of our existing services and the growth of this new service offering to our clients.

WMS Director Role Requirements

First and foremost, you will be a consultant, with the ability to bring stories to life and take clients through a consultative sales process, guide them through paid engagements and execute advisory and solution engagements.

We seek talented individuals with a strong background in account and operations management, a track record of delivery within a managed services environment, a wider understanding of corporate real estate services and the ability to sell and support the selling of WMS, by taking clients through the end-to-end WMS offering – workplace strategy, service and experience design/implementation and engaging and immersive technology.

A critical element to the construction of the WMS offering when engaging clients is the design of service delivery models and liaising with procurement to support onboarding and management of vendors and self-delivery personnel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This is a consulting role, with sales and delivery at its core, and the candidate will bring experience in both business development, and execution experience – with the ability transition effectively away from engagements once a steady state has been maintained with our self-delivery operations and vendors in place.
  • Relationship management is critical, working with our broker network, existing client base and wider Newmark advantage team to generate leads and opportunities, as well as work on larger strategic pursuits part of the advantage team
  • Generate leads and contacts to contribute to WMS growth Research, prepare and submit bids for WMS led contracts in collaboration our facilities management and property management delivery organizations
  • Engagement and bids will include method statements, risk allocation statements and cost proposals.

    The spectrum of engagements with clients will vary, from focused consulting engagements to support in service optimization, cost savings and opportunity realization through to service model design and execution.

  • Liaise with clients, demonstrating the quality of the company services, finding innovative solutions to new challenges, negotiating an effective balance between cost, value and risk, bringing deals to a close.
  • Develop site specific policies and operational procedures which fit with the company value framework and match the requirements of the client in collaboration with vendors.
  • Assist in the mobilization of contracts ensuring that effective services are delivered from the outset and that solid foundations are laid for long term quality and profitability.

    Vendor selection and onboarding is critical in this area.

  • Play a lead role in developing and grow our WMS led services business, with a focus on personal and group growth commercial and performance targets

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • The postholder will hold relevant experience
    – Soft services FM discipline or have equivalent experience.

    Experience in delivering services, service design and operations

  • A full driving license and a willingness to travel are essential to the post.
  • The postholder should display the following competencies is able to:-

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Qualified candidates should possess the following experience and skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or CRE related field
  • MBA or other specialized masters degree a plus but not essential.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a sales role within FM and/or workplace
  • Ability to work with a cross-functional team and manage a variety of strategic initiatives alongside operational delivery
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong analytics and computer skills; the ability to articulate data to provide insights to support operational decision making, and to support client decisions.
  • Sound business and financial acumen, including expertise in identifying efficiencies and cost avoidance opportunities
  • Proficiency with technology and client service tools; knowledge of CAFM/IWMS, workplace experience applications, IOT solutions and how they contribute to a valuable service offering.
  • Experience with supporting analyses that support client decision-making
