Powered by predictive insights and proprietary data, we enable the world’s top entertainment organizations to efficiently distribute, control and monetize their TV and movie content to drive revenue and direct-to-consumer growth.Whip Media is hiring for a talented Vice President of Sales based out of the Los Angeles area in a role focused on developing new business opportunities for Whip Media as well as targeting content owners, broadcasters and MVPD’s/OTT providers.Our ideal candidate is a senior and experienced sales professional who will absolutely relish the chance to develop our business in the US geography and vertical markets in which Whip Media has already established itself as the industry leader.Whip Media has some significant plans for growth over the next few years so there is exciting career potential within the company.What will you do?Overall responsibility to contribute to and implement a comprehensive sales and business growth strategy that maximizes Whip Media Group’s opportunities across all products and services that Whip offers to broadcasters, operators, OTT providers and content owners in the USWe want you to hit and strive to exceed agreed quarterly and annual sales targetsYour focus will be to ensure target margins are achievedWe want you to build and develop new customer opportunity plans; detail and implement strategies for successful execution within these clientsWork in partnership with the SVP of Sales to develop and maintain quarterly territory forecasts and create and deliver strategic account plans that accurately predict revenue on a quarterly basisBuild and maintain a robust sales pipeline all the while keeping Salesforce CRM system complete and up to date with sales forecasting and reportingPosition the company as a strategic supplier to customers and strive to attain ” Trusted advisor” statusApply consultative selling methodology on a consistent basis, in order to create value propositions for strategic opportunities to attract and grow revenueFollow up with the customers in after-sales process to ensure smooth project implementation and transition to account managementAttend and contribute actively at relevant industry trade shows when circumstances allowWhat do you need?We want you to be a proven new business sales person, with clear evidence of a successful track record in delivering profitable growth focused in new accounts for over 10+ yearsHighly experienced selling complex enterprise software solutionsWe’d love you to come to the table with a network of high-level relationships in pay tv operators, broadcasters, streaming platforms and major content owners/distributors in the USProven ability to understand the business and technical requirements of telco/paytv operators, broadcasters, OTT providers and video content companies in order to effectively position Whip Media Group and sell software as solutions to those problems in the target marketSignificant experience navigating long sales cyclesAbility to manage successfully sales processes with multiple stakeholdersStrong communication & interpersonal skillsA creative problem solver & visionary who can find opportunities & solutions easilyThe ability to develop strong relationships with all supporting teams & stakeholders so that these internal teams actively contribute to the success of the sales team!We are always hiring in our Whip hubs of New York City, Los Angeles and London where we currently have corporate offices but for specific roles where we are open to hiring remotely we can hire in Colorado, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Texas, Washington, Kentucky, Minnesota and North Carolina.
