What will I be doing in this role?

The Wellness Program Manager will be responsible for creating, developing, managing, and assessing the success and overall organizational strategy of the organizations Wellness Program.

The organizational efforts are focused on wellness activities and wellness operations across Cedars-Sinai and will guide efforts to advance well-being and improve professional fulfillment.

This role offers practice transformation strategies and resources designed to increase professional satisfaction, productivity, leadership, and well-being.

The Program Manager will work with a variety of staff including leadership and executives to create a culture of wellness and provide support to enable healthy coping strategies to allow them to deliver high quality care to their patients and find satisfaction in their careers.

  • In collaboration with identified leadership and other key collaborators, oversees the development and execution of both short and long-term goals and strategy to address wellness that is informed by established maturation models.
  • Defines, monitors, and analyzes well-being data with the goal of improving care team well-being, patient experience, health outcomes, retention of key personnel, and a strong financial position.
  • Strategically designs and oversees online wellness survey, evaluate results, and in collaboration with leadership and other key stakeholders, develop action plans to enhance wellness across the organization.
  • Works with department leadership and other areas to show return on wellness programs and investments.
  • Motivates change by providing centralized development, implementation and oversight of programs and initiatives designed to improve and support well-being.
  • Creates, manages, and implements updated wellness website and activities with a focus on increasing traffic to the sight and increasing engagement across the organization with wellness activities and initiatives.
  • Develops work plans, communications strategies, conducts presentations, provides status reports and dashboards for various audiences as it relates to strategic wellness priorities and work streams.
  • Develops a portfolio of resources individuals can use to cultivate personal well-being.
  • Provides leadership in the administration, evaluation, and communication of wellness initiatives and programs.
  • Conducts, research, and gathers information, data, and common practices to support the strategic goals of the organization’s wellness initiatives.
  • Ensures that experiences across the organization inform programmatic direction, and that the organization’s vision for the wellness initiatives are incorporated into all facets of the program.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements and introduction of comprehensive and common practices within the wellness function.
  • Participates in organizational process and/or efficiency initiatives as applicable and related to areas of expertise.
  • Administers surveys and create continual efforts to measure the effectiveness of wellness interventions.

Educational Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, Management, Business, or a related field preferred.

License/Certifications:

  • Wellness and/or Benefit Certification preferred.

Experience Requirements:

  • Twelve (12) years of combined Wellness and Benefits related experience.
  • Five (5) years of experience in a Hospital or healthcare related environment preferred.
