BlackLine is on the lookout for a website product manager, a pivotal role that will steer the course of our digital journey. In this role, you’ll shape our web experience, making it more than just a site – a destination for finance and accounting professionals across the globe.

Your role extends beyond overseeing our site’s roadmap and performance; it’s about creating a cohesive narrative that resonates. And your eagerness to own and manage our CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) strategy will be integral to taking this tale to new heights.

What you’ll be at the helm of:

Website Strategy & Roadmap: Define, prioritize, and execute a website strategy and roadmap in alignment with business objectives, user demands, and the latest technological advancements.

Requirements Gathering: Engage in stakeholder interviews and facilitate workshops to gather functional and non-functional requirements for our website and other digital projects.

Market Research: Conduct competitor analysis and stay updated with the latest website design, development, and optimization trends to ensure BlackLine’s online presence offers a market-leading customer experience.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with other marketing teams to align website initiatives with broader marketing campaigns, ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience, and maintain website security standards, including GDPR compliance.

Creative Direction: Provide guidance to creative teams, ensuring campaign assets adhere to brand specifications and resonate with our target audience.

Content Planning: Work with content subject matter experts to ensure website content is up-to-date and aligned with the company brand, collaborating with SEO specialists to maximize exposure through search engines and improve organic traffic.

Performance Analysis: Monitor website analytics to understand and improve user experience and engagement and optimize user journeys while tracking website metrics such as traffic, bounce rates, and conversion rates.

A/B Testing: Collaborate as a key CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) team member, devising and implementing A/B testing strategies aligned with business objectives.

Technical Liaison: Act as a bridge between non-technical and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of website projects and priorities.

Execution and Project Management: Coordinate with web development teams to strategize and ensure timely completion of website projects.

What You’ll Bring:

Years of Experience in Related Field: 3-5
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Website Manager, preferably in a B2B software setting within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of website design principles, UX, and analytics tools.
• Exceptional project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative usability and feature updates and strategies.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and metrics, providing insights to optimize the web experience.
• Exceptional project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to align website updates with broader business goals.
• Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) including a basic understanding of web development technologies.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Salary Range:

USD $109,200.00 – USD $155,000.00

Pay Transparency Statement:

Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant’s prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.
