We are seeking a candidate to provide comprehensive services to businesses and job seekers within and outside of Adams County.

Successful candidate will provide guidance, assistance and/or training in such areas as workforce utilization and development, customized training, and coordination of services needed from various resources and programs within and outside the division and/or department.

Candidate will understand the relationship between community partners and coordinate business service delivery by linking all appropriate resources.

Examples of Duties for Success Essential Duties, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Partner with businesses to increase awareness of workforce center opportunities and utilizing the Workforce system to result in temporary, part-time, or full-time job placement.

Knowledge and understanding of workforce program elements and activities to ensure that job seekers obtain program goals and objectives.

Outreach to industries to assist in matching qualified job seekers to potential work experience and training opportunities.

Ensure confidentiality of all files and records, maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, guidance, policies, and procedures Administer assessments and develop individualized plans.

Responsible for meeting with, contacting, and providing services to job seekers and businesses per program/grant policy and guidelines, adhering to time frames.

Deliver and document supportive services to overcome barriers to education and employment.

Work with schools, employers, and training providers to ensure that job seekers are making progress and attending regularly.

Refer job seekers to appropriate services for needs outside of the scope of workforce programs.

Work collaboratively and collegially with other staff, employers, and other funded partners to ensure program success.

Provide excellent customer service in all phases of work with participants, schools, and employers, focusing on problem resolution.

Complete accurate and timely reporting on business services provided.

Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications for Success Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills with employers, job seekers, co-workers, and other team members.

Ability to interpret and apply federal and state regulations and guidelines.

Ability to work well with all levels of staff in the organization and individuals with multiple barriers.

Knowledge of community resources.

Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.

Must demonstrate initiative, be well organized, motivated, detail oriented, and accuracy driven.

Must be able to handle assignments quickly and efficiently, meet deadlines, and handle confidential matters in a mature and responsible manner.

Knowledge of standard industry recognized assessments for basic skills, work ready and occupational skills, interests, aptitudes, and values.

Ability to assist in developing job sites for Work Experience sites .

Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

Establish, maintain, and foster positive and harmonious working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

More Qualifications for Success Experience: Two years case management or related experience working in pre-employment assessment, workforce development, vocational rehabilitation or related field.

Experience in an employment center or similar professional work environment is highly desirable.

Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.

Experience with Connecting Colorado and CBMS highly desirable, proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).

Experience working with businesses, employers, community partners, low income, unemployed, under-employed and/or diverse populations is preferred.

Education and Training: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Human Services, Career Counseling, Educational/Guidance Counseling or a related field.

OR Demonstrated two years of experience related to the Essential Duties, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities may be substituted.

License and Certificate: Must possess, or have the ability to obtain, a valid Colorado driver’s license.

Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check.

Weekly Hours
– At least 40 hours Employees qualify for Health benefits (medical, dental, vision, Life/ADD, disability), the optional 457b deferred compensation package.
