Vice President of Fund Development

AltaMed is looking for a person with a desire to make a difference in our community as our next Vice President of Fund Development. Many of our community members do not have the privilege to attend regular doctor visits. Together, we reduce the barriers that prevent a person from growing healthy. The Vice President of Fund Development will have the extraordinary opportunity to join AltaMed as the organization grows and expands services to more underserved communities. Reporting to the Executive Vice President/Chief Administrative Officer, the Vice President of Fund Development will join a dynamic team of leaders in the CAO’s team and work collaboratively with Government Relations, Civic Engagement, Grants and other critical departments to ensure the fund development efforts of the organization.The VP of Fund Development will manage and implement the Foundation’s strategic plan to drive revenue and increase donors through direct marketing, annual, major, planned, corporate and foundation giving, as well as through distinguished events on behalf of the AltaMed Foundation President.The successful candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in fundraising implementing a variety of development strategies, with competency in federal, foundation and corporate grants required. Combined experience/education may substitute for minimum education/experience. Must possess a strong understanding of fundraising opportunities, team development and growth, strategic and tactical development processes, project management, and training and execution/support. A Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a healthcare or related field, Master’s preferred.
