Vice President Of Engineering

We are looking for a seasoned VP of Engineering to join our core team, focused on delivering robust technology products and services to our customers and business partners.

This role reports directly to the CTO, and will be responsible for leading a team of remote developers, collaborating with product managers, and improving our products and systems.

As a growing company, we are interested in individuals who can recruit and build their own team as well.

To be a successful VP of Engineering, you must have prior organizational leadership experience, be able to collaborate with team members, and be a strategic problem-solver.

Ultimately, a strong VP of Engineering should demonstrate excellent communication skills, an ability to connect with other engineers and developers, and have a solid foundation in software design.

What You’ll Do:
Build a high-performance culture that rewards results, and is optimized for retention and productivity.

Articulate a technology strategy that allows engineers to make great decisions and balance paying down tech debt, building for scale, and shipping new functionality.

Evolve our architecture, creating services that can be owned and managed end-to-end.

Ensure our internal engineering practices (e.g.

CI/CD, code reviews, QA technology, etc) are appropriate for our scale, and maximizing our productivity.

Grow the team; optimize our recruiting process and hire across all backgrounds, all levels of seniority & specialist technical domains.

Manage at scale; bring to bear the right balance of process and flexibility; measure what matters and drive improvements in quality, velocity, and impact.

Own the engineering infrastructure and SaaS budget.

Continue building our techops competency for efficiency, reliability, scale, and security.

As part of the Engineer, Product, Design, & Analytics division, you will report to the CTO and partner with leadership to create the technical roadmap and headcount plan that accelerate the business.

As an executive in the company, you will be part of the Senior Leadership Team and form strong relationships with the C-suite and VPs.

Partner with the operations technology and IT teams to maintain a secure, auditable, and controllable environment.

Maintain high-velocity iteration in the face of increasing scale and complexity.

What You’ll Need:
10+ years experience managing technical teams Strong organizational leadership skills.

Extensive experience in working with stakeholders to create hiring strategies to develop quality teams.

Experience in recruiting Engineers Previous working experience in software design and developing customer-orientated ecommerce platforms.

Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.

Must be knowledgeable about industry trends, best practices, and change management.
