As a member of the executive team, the VP, Investor Relations will be responsible for developing GOAT Group’s investor relations function, build a comprehensive investor relations strategy, own investor messaging and communication, and partner cross-functionally to identify, counsel on and solve for complex financial and IR matters.
This person will be responsible for analyzing and acting on the financial impact of key decisions throughout the organization that drive shareholder value.
The VP, Investor Relations will report to the COO.
In this role you will:
- Serve as a key advisor to Company leadership, providing insight and perspective as it relates to managing communications with investment community
- Provide feedback related to discussions with the investment community and the reaction to the company’s business strategies, market developments, and external events to internal partners
- Lead the quarterly earnings process, creating communication materials, drafting earnings releases, call scripts, accompanying presentations, as well as preparing talking points and relevant Q&A
- Brief and prepare senior leaders for productive meetings with investment network
- Along with senior leadership and in partnership with Head of Communications, define narrative for delivering shareholder value and define corporate narrative
- Manage and drive engagements with external advisors including investment banks and management consulting firms
- Serve as the point-person for all investor materials, including presentations, marketing materials, conference presentations, and other documents
- Work closely with equity surveillance firm to monitor and understand stock movements and composition of shareholder register
- Collaborate across the broader finance, accounting, strategy, product development, and corporate business functions to understand and influence business trends and incorporate this understanding into external communications
- Manage communication with the Board of Directors and provide regular IR updates
- Coordinate closely with legal around annual shareholder meeting
We are looking for:
- Demonstrated ability to build and main credibility with senior leaders and external financial community through diplomacy and expertise
- Proven success building and leading an investor relations function, having developed and implemented proactive and strategic IR plans that have measurable, proven results
- Access to a strong network of pertinent investment community relationships, including investors, analysts, rating agencies, and financial media
- Experience managing investor relations in a publicly-traded company
- Strong knowledge of equity and debt capital markets, financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and corporate finance
- Effectively translate complex business, strategic and financial information to relevant parties, internal and external
- Able to manage high priority matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Self-directed, ability to build high level strategy as well as roll up sleeves to execute
- Bring the highest standard of confidentiality, professionalism and maturity to all interactions
