You will lead and support multiple projects, be involved in external reviews if needed, and be integral in developing new analytical tools and processes.You will be an educator to our clients and internal campaign teams on everything related to data. You will be a data futurist; highly capable today with an eye on evolving Analytics at Essence for the future.Some of the things we’d like you to do:* Lead the analytics teams dedicated to the various NBCU BUs, responsible for the development and application of business intelligence and advanced analytics innovations.* Driving the overall strategy and prioritization of advanced analytics projects, included but not limited to custom audience segmentation and propensity modeling, media mix modeling, media attribution (multi-touch attribution) models.* Guide the development of bespoke reporting, data and analytical solutions. This includes selling the work to clients by authoring the statement of work, determining the required resources and team structure, and ensuring the adherence to the project roadmap and the quality of deliverable.* Standardize processes and solutions to create a single brand of what Essence delivers for NBCU Analytics; identify opportunities across BUs for applications of shared learnings* Develop strong relationships and partnerships with clients and key stakeholders. Be an authoritative source of knowledge and best practices on data and analytics.* Work with client account support teams (Planning, Comms, Ad Ops, Activation, Media Investment) to help define meaningful campaign measurement and learning objectives to assess campaign performance, ensuring alignment with long term strategies* Support NA and Global Analytics leadership by contributing to new business pitches and broader team management initiatives.A bit about yourself:* 10+ years of experience in strategic analytics with experience managing a team of analytics professionals* Previous experience in ad tech, media or marketing required; entertainment industry a plus* Knowledge of digital (programmatic) and traditional media buying platforms and technologies* Experience with statistical models for multivariate testing, time series analysis, logistic regression and linear/non-linear regression, Bayesian methods, machine learning algorithms (random forest, SVM, etc…)* Experience with statistical software packages (R, Python SciPy), programming languages (SQL, Python or JAVA) and data visualization/BI tools like Tableau/Looker/Data Studio* Understanding of relational and non-relational database technology, cloud-based data lake, ETL, data pipelines* Experience with third party research and data vendors* Excellent at presenting data in a visually engaging and insightful manner that cuts through the noiseWhat you can expect from EssenceEssence’s mission is to make advertising more valuable to the world.
