WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

Responsible for providing a consultative approach to large, more sophisticated business clients with complex treasury needs, while leading client/prospect sales calls with Treasury Management Sales Officers (TMSO) to understand client paint points, needs, and objectives. Focused on a specific set of treasury management products requiring technical integration between the bank and clients. This individual is a product and technical subject matter expert, a seasoned implementations profession, and a team player willing and able to provide support required and related to customer onboarding of assigned product(s).

Treasury Management Solutions Division
As a member of City National’s Treasury Management Solutions group, you will make a difference by delivering integrated technology solutions to help clients more efficiently manage their businesses and working capital. This group drives and supports the bank’s cash management products and services that won City National four of its 11 Greenwich Excellence Awards in 2018.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Lead consultative conversations with new and existing customers to understand their paint points and define solutions to meet their goals and business objectives.
  • Lead client/prospect sales calls with Treasury Management Sales Consultants and Relationship Managers to gain understanding of client technology maturity and capabilities
  • Drive design and solution architecting discussions to determine integration and customized product needs
  • Identify business requirement and at the same time, solve complex business problems into simplified workable solutions in the manner of:
  • – Identify business needs, translating into functional needs, and constantly seeking opportunities for improvement
  • – Lead/support the project team to ensure banking or relevant industry processes and software solutions achieve a quality outcome
  • – Grow the pipeline by actively participating in market meetings to reinforce the value of the solutions set, identify new prospects, and advance the pipeline
  • – Oversee the delivery process to ensure that client business goals are met through lasting change
  • – Lead or support clients in transforming their business practices
  • Partner with Product managers in the development of new product solutions and the enhancement of existing product and services.
  • Understand industry trends and competitive practices, including the impact of technology, regulatory and legislative changes related to treasury management.
  • Ability to manage projects consistently with prompt follow through in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Must-Have*

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of financial services experience,
  • Minimum of 3+ years technical and/or product sales experience in treasury management product, sales/sales support, customer onboarding, and implementation or customer service roles.

Skills and Knowledge

  • . Advanced degree (MBA) preferred. Both is Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Business or other related fields
  • CTP (certified Treasury Professional) certification preferred, but not required
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of bank payment systems, treasury management solutions, and software integrations tools (e.g. API and file transmission)
  • Expert knowledge in discussing data file standards, file format, field mapping, and transmissions related to disbursements, reporting, and remittance processing.
  • Strong technical acumen, including a solid understanding of how ERP systems and treasury workstations operate
  • Strong client consultative selling skills, with the ability to tailor the message for both C-level decision makers and front-line associates
  • Proven ability to effectively manage complex commercial account relationships and consult client best practices and operations to identify deficiencies to lead, develop and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex projects and work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to influence internally across functions and levels as a trusted and credible business partner
  • Extensive analytical, problem solving, excellent customer service, organizational and interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required to lead, develop and present.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and industry specific software applications
  • Familiarity with corporate accounting and ERP systems
  • Has led business process and/or software design for software delivery projects to banking clients.
  • Financial services’ software implementation proficiency
