Job Details: MANAGER CONTROL TESTING 1LOD

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

Responsible for developing and maintaining a critical program element of the U.S. Regulatory Compliance Management framework, Compliance independence testing for City National Bank. Collaborates with stakeholders to find efficiencies and enhance program and output quality; ensures 1LOD and 2LOD key controls are appropriately identified and operating effectively to mitigate risk across CNB. Responsible for developing risk-based Control Testing Plan, collaboratively with relevant 1LOD, 2LOD and Internal Audit personnel. Responsible for aligning risk-based frequency of testing activities with Enterprise standards. Responsible for meeting FINRA, SEC, CFPB, OCC and FRB requirements for testing.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Developing and maintaining the CNB Control Testing, setting forth a consistent industry-standard and FRB NY (SR08-8) expected Compliance testing methodology
  • Coordinating testing schedules with internal stakeholders, including 2LOD and Internal Audit
  • Identifying, escalating, and tracking issues identified by testing
  • Understands Divisional policies and procedures governing the risk activities and applicable regulations to ensure controls are in place to comply, and any breaches are escalated and resolved timely.
  • Developing and reporting control testing governance, including progress to plan reporting and change management
  • Responsible for escalating high risk issues found to senior management
  • Responsible for the oversight of issue entry to ERIC and oversight that corrective action has been taken and issues satisfactorily remediated
  • Participates and provides documentation in Audits/Exams and other reviews as needed.
  • Manage a team of testing professionals

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Must-Have*

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in control testing, branch inspection, Internal Audit or at a financial institutions regulator
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the financial services industry

Skills and Knowledge

  • Knowledge of FINRA, SEC, MSRB, FRBNY and OCC rules and regulations
  • Experience with operating in a highly matrixed environment
  • Excellent communication and presentations skills
