Reporting to the Associate Director, Donor Communications Strategy and Recognition, the Assistant Director will provide strategic, scalable and appropriate recognition for donors to the university.Job responsibilities include: Manage recognition and strategy for central advancement giving societies, including Widney Society, consecutive givers, and first-time donors.

Identify and recommend enhancements or additional recognition programming/touchpoints that complement fundraising efforts, with the goal of improving donor satisfaction, engagement, and retention.

Manage processes and policies around physical naming opportunities, including enhancements on tracking historical and new naming opportunities.

Serve as the main point of contact and provide assistance with and the oversight of naming opportunities/signage for centrally administered gifts, as well as for those gifts for campus benches, Wall of Troy, etc.

Works with internal colleagues to train and advise on recognition best practices, as well as donor relations and stewardship best practices, in general.

Develops reports and metrics to track effectiveness of recognition and naming opportunities strategies.

Provides assistance to the Associate Director, Donor Communications Strategy, with stewardship, impact, and recognition communications.

Collaborate and assist the Senior Executive Director and the stewardship and donor relations team on various projects.

Must have excellent writing skills, project management skills, ideally has worked in stewardship and donor relations at another university, be creative and flexible in identifying the tools and resources needed for recognizing donors at all giving levels in a cost effective and efficient manner, and has solid experience utilizing various software applications, such as Salesforce, Conga, Thankview, etc.

Excellent customer service and relationship building skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external constituencies.
