THE POSITION

Our roster has an opening with your name on it

The TV Director will perform a variety of tasks related to live, pre-recorded, studio and field production, all in support of a 24/7 for our live sports television network, TVG.

Primary duties include, but are not limited to, responsibility for all facets of live TV directing in live “studio” shows and on-location events within a “production truck” environment.

Under indirect supervision, researches, plans, and directs production crew for specific television programming.

Provides technical expertise during pre-production, production and the completion of the live programming.

THE GAME PLAN

  • Directs live and taped productions through accurate calling and coordination of video, audio and graphics elements.
  • Oversees studio productions for quality control.
  • Works with producers to execute details of effective programs.
  • Provides leadership that encourages excellence and assists in the smooth operation of the organization.
  • Acts as liaison between producers, clients and technical crew to facilitate the TV production process.
  • Sets up and operates different types of television/video cameras and associated equipment, including studio and remote cameras, Jib crane and a multi-camera robotic system.
  • May produce off-line content for marketing or other FanDuel projects.
  • Additional duties/responsibilities as assigned.

THE STATS

What we’re looking for in our next teammate

  • Minimum 5 years of experience directing live sports both in studio and in remote truck environment, including directing all forms of live TV events, utilizing accepted operational techniques to achieve a high quality broadcast.
  • Minimum 5 years of broadcast experience at a local TV station, cable/satellite channel or other industry related environment.
  • Hands-on and/or working knowledge of systems/equipment used in functions identified above, including analog/digital video/High Definition video/audio signals and monitoring equipment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or in lieu of experience.
