Opportunity OverviewTuSimple’s Senior Manager, Procurement Process leads all aspects of our procurement strategic processes and the supporting system enablement.In this role, the Senior Manager, Procurement Process operates as the conduit, connecting Procurement strategies, business processes and tools, and technological functions and systems capabilities.

The incumbent will develop, implement, and continuously refine TuSimple’s global supply chain and procurement technology roadmap, partnering cross-functionally to facilitate and drive change management in execution of the roadmap, while ensuring alignment with business needs.Additional areas of focus include development, implementation and optimization of business intelligence and analytics requirements, systems, process, tools, and metrics, as it relates to supply chain and procurement, audit compliance, and direct and indirect sourcing and supply chain Center of Excellence(COE) supportJoin us and be a part of excellence!

Role ResponsibilitiesDevelops, implements and continuously refines TuSimple’s Procurement Technology Roadmap across all functions and operations of our global supply chain (i.E.

planning/ sourcing / supply chain)Operates as a Business Partner to assigned divisions, enabling and realizing supply chain transformation strategies.

Actively drives improvements in service, working capital metrics, and cost reductionBuilds, implements, and continuously optimizes process standards for the Procurement/; Supply Chain COEConducts research into technology, systems, and tools necessary to optimize the global procurement processes-including planning, sourcing, supply chain, materials management.

Provides global expertise and support with data mining, analysis, and reportings.

Conducts research on best practices that ensure the optimal business operations.

Analyzes risk and provides feedback and mitigation options to business, prepares and conducts trainings, responds to questions, and leads and/or supports procurement and supply chain initiativesPartners across the business (including Finance, Quality, and other Procurement teams) to ensure compliance with necessary regulations, quality frameworks, and internalcontrolsPartners across the business to develop, implement, own, and execute Master Service Agreements (MSA)and Scopes of Work (SOW) templates relative to Procurement and Supply ChainProvides strong leadership in the recruitment, training and development of top-quality talent, ensuring the high level of performance and productivity.

Experience & Skills RequiredHigh School Diploma or above in Management, Business, Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, or a related field.8 years Procurement experience, including:2 year experience leading a team of Supply Chain/Procurement professionals, and3 years experience leading the development and implementation of Procurement/Supply Chain processes and systems.Proven excelling with building and improving processes and promoting qualityDeep understanding of supply chain principles and processes, including supply/demand planning, safety stock, lead-time, transportation, and warehousingSuperior knowledge of purchasing practices, including methods of establishing costs, selling prices, terms, and general knowledge of business law (e.G.

Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreements) relative to procurement practices and inventory managementAdvanced knowledge of sourcing and materials management systems and processesAbility to analyze Bills of Materials, Master Schedules, Excess and Obsolete Inventory Reports, in order to collect, analyze and summarize information and trendsStrong knowledge of, or experience with, Spend Analytics, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) Modelling, SensitivityAnalysis,Leverage Management, Change Management, Risk Management, Conflict Resolution, and Stakeholder ManagementVersed in different agreements and pricing structures paired with strong mathematical, financial acumenAbility to read and understand legal contract terms.

Familiarity with financial management of contracts including understanding business cases, understanding contract cost structures, support and maintenance costs structures, and negotiating savings/reductions in costs for contracts.

Able to analyze costs and financial risks relating to contractsAbility to read and understand engineering components and assembly drawingsSolid understanding of automotive and technical partsSuperior knowledge of shipping and receiving requirements and proceduresExcellent project management skills, with the ability to work to deadlines and successfully lead multiple initiatives.
