Opportunity OverviewTuSimple’s Manager, Supplier Quality Assurance works with the QMS team to define, develop and implement supplier quality assurance strategy, i.E.

tools, systems and processes.

You will also assist in the evaluation, down selection and nomination of suppliers and support design & development process through APQP activities and ensure, where specified, control plans are developed to ensure the sustained quality and compliance of supplied raw materials and components.In this role, you will ensure supply chain compliance to regulatory requirements and/or procedures for regulated products/processes and that the components/products at the supplier produces are released according to agreed specifications and quality requirements (APQP / PPAP).Join us and be a part of excellence!

Role ResponsibilitiesEstablishing departmental policies, processes and procedures in accordance with company goals and associated standardsRecruiting, train and develop the supplier quality assurance teamEnsuring raw material and component specs and drawings are translated to supplier quality requirementsQualifying suppliers, establish metrics, assess supplier capability to meet quality expectations, audit suppliers critical to quality processesGuiding development of supplier control plans; Ensure that the supplier specifications are feasible, and the control limits/tolerances for significant and critical characteristics / CTQ parameters are definedAssuring supplied part qualityProblem Solving: (8D) / SCAR/ RTV management: Effective and timely containment and closureParticipating in the development and continuous improvement of suppliers Quality Assurance processes to ensure high quality and compliancePerforming and managing supplier audits, external inspections/ audits / associated corrective actionsPerformance Reporting (Metrics definition and submission) Experience & Skills RequiredBachelor’s Degree or above in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field5-10 years relevant industry experienceKnowledge of autonomous technology supply base and general supplier quality control attributes for mechanical and electrical components and partsKnowledge and understanding of: ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 ; ISO 15504 ASPICE ;VDASix Sigma QualificationsKnowledge of QMS IT support systems encompassing PLM, ERP, & MESComplex Problem Solving: Practical Problem Solving, 8D, 5Y, SCARs, RTVMulti-disciplinary approach and knowledge basic Supplier Quality principles, theories and conceptsAuditingPerformance Monitoring,APQPPPAPGD& T BS:8888 ISO 1101Quality tooling / processes: Inspection fixtures, CMM processesAble to read and interpret 2D and 3D engineering data, develop the manufacturing and assembly processAble to make decisions based on data and facts.Proficient in the use of Microsoft office applications such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and ExplorerEngineering and Technology — Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
