You will not only create and design compensation programs that support business strategy, but you also correlate these programs with business achievement and success, in order to measure effectiveness and implement change.Your broad scope and impact will include executive pay, incentive pay, ancillary benefits, equity, and relocation.

You will also ensure appropriate compliance and governance for associated programs and will have purview over Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for: job evaluation and architecture, Leave of Absences (LOAs), job accommodations, workers compensation, and TuSimple’s HRIS system of record.So, why us?

Apply today-we would love to hear from you!Role ResponsibilitiesProvides thought leadership and strategic support for our Total Rewards program architecture, ensuring data driven recommendations and alignment with organizational strategies and objectives.

This includes: business case development, communication, influencing, and obtaining buy-in/approval from key stakeholders, implementation of strategic direction, and M& A support, as applicable.Designs and administers compelling, performance-driven compensation and benefit programs in alignment with TuSimple’s strategy, talent practices, and rewards landscape (e.G.

base compensation, incentive programs, spot awards, equity compensation, etc.).Oversees Total Rewards applicable governance areas, including plan documentation and compliance with applicable Department of Labor, IRS, and federal, state, and local regulations.Regularly benchmarks activities across all areas of Total Rewards (benefits, incentive programs, equity, base compensation, relocation services & packages, etc.) to elevate, evolve, and continuously improve our competitiveness.Designs and guides practices for job evaluations, market matching, pay decisions, and governance ensuring a mindset for meeting business needs, creative solutions, and integration of market trends.Oversees the HRIS system as it relates to the development, roll-out, and refinement of system SOPs and workflows for HRIS transactions, data integrity, job architecture, approvals, and audits.Provides Subject Matter Expertise and oversees the development, roll-out, and refinement of SOPS for Leave of Absences, Workers Compensation programs, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability programs, and ADA Accommodations.Oversees HR data analytics, including dashboard creation and maintenance and HR program reporting for trend analysis.Other duties as assigned.Experience & Skills RequiredBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Statistics, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Human Resources, or related field.10 years of experience with compensation and benefits; including equity design, planning, administration & executive compensation.2 years of experience leading a team of total rewards professionals.Preferred Skills and ExperienceMaster’s Degree + in Business Administration, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or Human Resources, or related field.PHR/SPHR, CEBS, CCP certification.Experience working with highly technical teams.Experience working in a start-up environment.Technical/Specialized SkillsDeep statistical, qualitative, and quantitative analysis skills, with the proven ability to utilize data to influence decisions.Willingness and ability to proactively conduct analytical deep-dives into consultant and vendor supplied data/recommendations to understand (and challenge, as necessary) their methodology and assumptions, prior to presenting recommendations to Executive leadership.Extensive experience designing and implementing highly competitive, employee-centric Total Rewards strategies, programs, guidelines, and processes while balancing business objectives and financial boundaries.Strong experience with effectively managing benefits broker and other consultation/vendor relationships.Extensive knowledge of job evaluation principles and benchmarking methodologies.Strong knowledge and understanding of applicable federal, state, and local legislation, including: Equal Pay, FLSA, ERISA, and Sarbanes Oxley, etc.
