The U.S. Value & Access organization has recently created a transformation office dedicated to partnering with the organization on the identification, development and implementation of a broad range of initiatives dedicated to transforming organizational capabilities, ultimately enabling Amgen to deliver for patients now and over time as the dynamic US healthcare ecosystem continues to evolve. This individual will be responsible for strategically planning the program management and implementation of several contracts & pricing systems at various phases of their lifecycle, while continuously looking for opportunities to optimize process, operations, and systems.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Creating overall integrated program management plan across system projects, identifying interdependencies and integration points required for successful execution

  • Partnering with and providing consulting to business owners to ensure systems implementation planning excellence, including project planning, user requirements gathering/documentation, testing plan and script development and execution, etc

  • Partnering with cross-functional partners (e.g. Global Commercial Operations Information Systems) on resource planning to ensure adequate staffing and successful completion across projects

  • Budget planning and management

  • Communications and change management efforts to ensure organizational awareness and participation in system implementation efforts

  • Risk assessment and mitigation

  • Partnering with data & analytics teams to ensure thoughtful system integration into data/insights architecture

  • Developing appropriate training to support successful systems rollout and ongoing utilization

  • Overseeing testing efforts managed through centralized resource planning and pull through

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of business or data analytics and/or commercial operations experience

Or

Masters degree and 4 years of business or data analytics and/or commercial operations experience

Or

Bachelors degree and 6 years of business or data analytics and/or commercial operations experience

Or

Associates degree and 10 years of business or data analytics and/or commercial operations experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of business or data analytics and/or commercial operations experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources

  • Knowledge of contracts & pricing-related processes and systems (e.g. Model N)

  • Strategic planning & operations experience

  • Program management experience, including delivering projects applying agile methodology

  • Demonstrates creativity and foresight in anticipating and solving complex project issues

  • Experience in, and/or closely partnering with, IS organization on systems implementation projects

  • Ability to collaborate, lead, and influence cross-functional teams and partners

  • Capable of influencing a diverse set of stakeholders through deployment of thoughtful communications

  • Strong interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, active listening, and relationship management skills

  • Change management experience

  • Proficiency in utilizing work empowered tools (e.g. Miro, MS Teams)
