About the Position

As our Transaction Risk Manager, B2C Payments, you will be specifically responsible for being hands on with fraud analysis and detection, leading and growing the team responsible for consistent and sustainable fraud management operations. You will work with the Director of Payments and Fraud to evolve ChowNow’s B2C Payments Fraud Program and collaborate with finance teams, data teams, and product teams to achieve the goal of minimizing B2C payments fraud risk.

Reports to Director of Payments and Fraud; directly manages Transaction Risk Management Specialists.

This is a remote position based in one of our employee hubs of Los Angeles, San Francisco, Austin, Atlanta, NYC, Kansas City, or Chicago. Occasional travel may be required.

In this role, you will:

    • Operate within our fraud management tool (Sift) to analyze, find fraud, and create rulesets to help block fraudulent transactions while controlling for false positive rate.
    • Develop and report on fraud program key metrics to the finance team and leadership on a regular cadence.
    • Lead and grow transaction fraud management talent including offshore resources for 24/7 analysis.
    • Find and propose opportunities for product improvement to further lower transaction risk.
    • Identify and escalate critical fraud patterns associated with B2B2C marketplaces.

    • Form testable hypotheses around signal based fraud management techniques and begin testing them.
    • Lead Transaction Risk Management Specialist team to maximize analysis activity and transaction decision effectiveness within fraud management systems

    • Report on improvements and operational status of the program tied to outcomes to leadership on a regular cadence.
    • Document onboarding and program processes for continuous improvement to support the Payments Fraud Program.

You should apply if:

    • You have demonstrated ability with leading payments fraud management in an active B2C environment where orders are completed without process or delay, including growing a team to effectively reduce payment fraud.
    • You have knowledge of payment fraud management tools, B2B2C marketplace fraud patterns, and reporting of key metrics associated with payment fraud program management.
    • You have skills that include identifying patterns of fraudulent activity, program and process technical writing, fraud data analysis, hypothesis testing, leadership communication, and management techniques.
