Transaction Advisory Services – Analytics Manager

Our Transaction Advisory Services team is looking for a dynamic Analytics Manager to join our team.  This role can be based in a CohnReznick office or the role can be virtual/remote.  In this role, you will be a part of a team helping our clients with completing a merger, and acquiring or selling a business. CohnReznick’s Transaction Advisory Practice provides the due diligence, acquisition integration, and other advisory services to assess risks and rewards and navigate transaction intricacies. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Analytics team within Transactions Advisory.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key player in buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements from both private equity and strategic corporate buyers
  • Lead and manage projects by prioritizing team tasks and working with senior members of the team
  • Analyze historical financial statements and evaluate operational trends to identify sustainable earnings for a variety of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, hospitality, high-technology, and healthcare
  • Effectively write and communicate engagement reports and deliverables to client management

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 5 years of related work experience in Analytics of transactions
  • Active CPA, Chartered Accountant in good standing, MBA through an accredited university, or CFA credential.
  • public accounting and previous financial due diligence experience.
  • A plus if you also have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer and Information Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Data Processing/Analytics/Science, Economics, operations research, Business Analytics or related field
  • Have experience with analytics tools including:
    • Programming languages (Python, R, SQL, Matlab, C++, etc.)
    • Analytics Platforms (SAS, Azure, etc.)
    • Statistical Packages (SPSS, Minitab, etc.)
    • Data Visualization (Tableau, PowerBI, Spotfire, etc.)
    • Data Management (Excel, SQL, Alteryx, etc.)
  • Ability to prioritize to deliver on time sensitive client deadlines and adapt quickly to new challenges and concepts.
  • Able to effectively communicate and influence decisions based on data
  • Understanding of financial and transactional data with experience building data models
  • Ability to collaborate and develop relationships with internal teams and external clients
  • Experience translating data and analyzing large datasets to address client needs
  • Experience with another professional services firm
  • Ability to move easily between big picture thinking and details
  • Demonstrated ability as a team leader
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work both as a team and an individual
