We are seeking a dynamic In-house Training Manager to join our team and help us achieve our goal of providing outstanding service. The Training Manager will report directly to Hotel General Manager with a dotted-line reporting structure to the Corporate Director of Learning, Development & Engagement. A seamless merger of historic retrofit and new construction, our 271-room hotel features interior design by international style icon Kelly Wearstler, multiple dining options by local area culinary stars, a rooftop lounge and swimming pool, and 16,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The Training Manager will be responsible for designing, delivering, and managing the training programs for our hotel colleagues. They will work closely with Human Resources, Guest Experience Director, and Corporate Learning teams to identify training needs and develop effective training programs that will enhance the skills and knowledge of our colleagues. General Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for all hotel departments, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and spa Identify training needs by conducting quality assessments and analyzing performance data in conjunction with observations and needs from the Guest Experience team Evaluate training needs based on Revinate & Guest’s Feedback Deliver training to all departments with strong emphasis on Forbes Travel Guide Standards Create training materials, including on-brand presentations, videos, and job aids, that are engaging, interactive, and effective Deliver training sessions and workshops to staff members in small and large group settings Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvement Keep up to date with the latest trends and developments in training and development and incorporate new techniques into training programs Collaborate with department managers to identify opportunities for career development and provide support for employees seeking advancement. Manage the hotel’s training budget and ensure that resources are used efficiently and effectively Conduct regular meetings with department managers to review training progress and identify areas for improvement Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as HR, organizational development, or business administration At least 5 years of experience in training and development, preferably in a luxury hotel or hospitality environment Strong knowledge of Forbes Travel Guide Standards Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to deliver engaging and effective training sessions Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design techniques Experience using learning management systems and e-learning platforms Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Passion for continuous learning and development Bilingual (English & Spanish) Company Overview Proper Hospitality is made up of a diverse group of passionate individuals who share a common love for hotels and the art of hospitality.
