This will touch IT but many other business areas as well.
There would be an IT PM assigned, once the project is launched.
Process re-engineering around product quality and management groups is another thing they will be involved with and the UI Path.

The Enterprise Project Manager (EPM) is responsible for planning, leading, organizing and motivating project teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering enterprise projects that provide exceptional business value.
The Enterprise Project Manager will be responsible for managing several concurrent programs and projects in a fast-paced environment that may cross multiple countries, business divisions and vendor partners.
The Enterprise Project Manager may interact in a number of roles in actual practice blending more traditional project management and agile practices to achieve high quality results.Project Management Provide enterprise program/project management planning and support, including budgeting and forecasting Ensure a standardized approach to the management of enterprise programs and projects within NAR Project Delivery Methodology, encompassing the governance, alignment, assurance, integration, financial control and planning of multiple inter-related initiatives including: o Scope management o Schedule Management o Budget Management o Change Management and Impact Analysis o Reporting and governance o Communications Management o Risk and Issue Management o Vendor Delivery Management o Procurement Management (provide support to Procurement Management team to fulfill deliverables) Establish project management best practices and standards to ensure all projects assigned within the portfolio are adhering to those standards and practices Assist in the tracking of program and project benefits to be realized Responsible for accurate consolidated project/program reporting (governance and monthly financials), support reporting and seek executive guidance and approvals as necessary Confirm proper business readiness activities are conducted to ensure business units are prepared for product and service changes Manage vendor and cross-functional team dependencies for product development and integrations to meet initiative objectives Maintain project and/or program master plan, tracking and work breakdown structures (Planview, MS Project, SmartSheet) Understand, advocate and communicate business unit objectives, goals, vision and strategy to team to enable solutions that contribute towards achieving value Ability to recognize and mitigate conflict and problems with project, product and team resources and apply escalation appropriately Manage development initiatives with major vendors and service providers to ensure they cost-effectively meet the needs of the organization.
