Territory Sales Manager

Municipal Maintenance Equipment, Inc. is a family owned company with 26 years of demonstrated success in the industry. We are in a growth pattern and now have 5 locations in California & Nevada, representing high quality infrastructure maintenance equipment. MME provides comprehensive sales; as well as parts and service support, including rental and leasing programs for municipal and contractor customers. Our goal is to add a champion territory sales manager that fits our blue collar, “get it done” culture.

The territory sales manager will be responsible for promoting, selling and training the various product lines that we represent. The customer base will be Municipalities (cities, counties, districts, CalTrans), Utilities, Corporations, Commercial and Industrial companies within the assigned territory. This is an outside sales position and you will be responsible for generating new business, servicing existing customer accounts and maintaining/executing satisfactory sales volume. Duties will include product demonstrations, cold calling, prospecting and relationship management.

MME will provide manufacturer supplied training for all major product lines. Our manufactures spend significant time in the field with our territory sales managers and there is always support available for demonstrations whether it requires a piece of equipment or personnel.

The territory sales manager must have the ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment and be able to multi-task and think on their feet. This position is supported by the general sales manager and an inside sales team that will aide in completing quotations, bid work-ups, provide marketing materials and maintaining a customer data base. We want our sales team in front of customers not on the computer!

Job Requirements:

Highly prefer 2+ years experience in equipment and/or machinery, heavy equipment sales, auto or heavy truck dealership industry or governmental sales.

Possessing excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to develop business relationships built on trust.

Must be self-motivated and a driven individual.

Must be a creative thinker that does not fold under pressure and must not take no for an answer.

Computer literacy, MS office proficient and familiar with CRM systems.

Preference will be given to candidates that participated in intercollegiate or professional athletics.
