Under limited supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the ideal candidate will perform a variety of duties to consult and assist practice groups and clients with determining the needs of client matters to include: infrastructure evaluations, data collection, vendor selection, review tools and production. Possessing a Relativity Certified Administrator and Relativity Analytic Specialist Certification, as well as five (5) or more years of litigation support experience in a law firm, corporation or e-discovery vendor are required.Essential Duties* Exercise independent discretion and judgment with respect to matters of significance on firm and client matters* Consult with practice groups and clients on the effective use of Relativity for analytics, document review and production* Consult with practice groups and clients on strategies to utilize technology to defensibly, cost effectively, and efficiently review and produce data in disputes* Proficient in Relativity, Concordance, Ipro, PowerPoint and Excel* Supervise other team members to reach team and client goals* Evaluate and help respond to RFPs and bids for projects, including third party vendor bids* Develop and document protocols for the effective handling of data through the EDRM workflow* Provide training to case teams on the use of technology* Help design, support and manage workflows on document reviews* Develop case budgets and projections, monitor budgets until matter completion* Facilitate ongoing communication with case teams to fulfill client needs* Assist practice groups with custom requests for individual case needs (searching, batching of documents, adding new users to workspace)* Create and maintain Relativity workspaces* Provide technical support, problem identification and resolution for Relativity* Evaluate new litigation technology* Maintain knowledge of 3rd party review tools* Stay current with industry standards, procedures, and certifications* Supervise project analysts or other team members* Meet or exceed the firm’s billing goal for this position* Work can require more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position and can require irregular hours* Maintain current time entries in compliance with firm policies and deadlines* Perform any additional duties or special projects required by client needs* Maintain confidentiality of all firm/client mattersSkills Needed to be Successful* Relativity Certified Administrator and Relativity Analytic Specialist Certification* Strong understanding of the electronic discovery reference model (EDRM)* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written* Strong project and time management skills* Ability to comprehend and interpret verbal and written concepts to facilitate the accurate completion of a task* Work requires the ability to make sound decisions in the absence of clear instructions* Ability to establish effective working relationships throughout the Firm and with outside contacts* Strong attention to detail, follow through, responsiveness and customer service skills* Strong command of the English language and legal and technical terminology* Excellent organization skills to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously* Familiarity with basic computer applications (e.g. MS Word, Excel, etc.)* Operate standard office equipment such as computers, photocopiers and fax machines* Ability to travel to private and public buildings, locally and statewide, via private or public conveyance to assist in attending to client needs on legal matters* Ability to understand procedures and instructions specific to the area of assignment as would be acquired during four years of high school* A minimum of a four-year bachelor’s degree is preferred* Previous experience of 5 or more years of litigation support experience in a law firm, corporation or e-discovery vendorAdditional InformationAlston & Bird LLP is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the bases of any status protected under federal, state, or local law.
