Technical Manager – Nuclear Medicine

Each year, almost 500,000 inpatient and outpatient exams and procedures are performed and interpreted at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Our radiologists & imaging specialists are board certified by the American Board of Radiology in their respective subspecialties. Our subspecialized imaging physicians, American College of Radiology certified technologists and customer-service oriented staff provide our patients with brand-new imaging technologies and innovative treatment options in a compassionate environment.

Summary of Essential Duties:

  • Ensures service excellence and creates a safe patient- centered experience and that all work produced and provided in the imaging environment is of the highest quality
  • Continually evaluates section’s workflow and harnesses changes in technology to reduce redundant processes and to eliminate those that have little value or have become obsolete
  • Assesses team member’s understanding of and compliance with current policies, procedures, regulations, and protocols
  • Fosters an environment of collaboration and respect with health care team members, physician colleagues, patients and their families
  • The Nuclear Medicine Technical Manager is responsible for daily operations and reports to the Imaging Associate Director
  • Oversee a team of approximately 35 employees, including Team Leaders, Technologists, and Department Assistants

 

Education:

  • Graduate of a JRCNMT accredited Nuclear Medicine program required
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

License/Certifications:

  • Nuclear Medicine Certification (CNMT) from The Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board, or an ARRT, (N) from the American Registry of Radiologic  Technologists (ARRT)
  • California Nuclear Medicine Technologist required
  • BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Tech required
  • 3 years of acute care management experience preferred
