Technical Account Manager

Join Ecolab’s Pest Elimination team as a Technical Account Manager .  The Technical Account Manager will serve as the main technical contact and consultant for assigned accounts and will work closely with the Corporate Accounts and Operations teams in addressing customer questions or concerns.

TAM will play a critical role in maintaining customer relationships to grow and retain business with the Corporate Accounts.

What you will do:

Technical Support and Leadership

TAM is responsible for partnering with key customer accounts to provide ongoing technical expertise in the area of product introductions, field testing, troubleshooting and consultation to develop new product offerings.

Provide technical expertise, support, insights, and recommended solutions to a specified set of Ecolab Pest Elimination customers driving increased sales and customer retention.

Leverage and provide resources against customer problem resolutions and ensure proper feedback loop to other departments for root cause analysis. 

Provide customer corporate-level and some plant-level technical leadership through participation on key customer committees related to Process Optimization, Labor Reduction, Product/Equipment Innovation, Food Safety, etc. 

Relationship Management

Develops strong relationships at the customer level identifying issues or concerns requiring intervention from the field operations team 

Contribute as a team member with Corporate Account Sales, Marketing and Operations contributing to strategic plans that improve customer retention, accelerate account penetration and drive incremental growth 

Partner with other TAMs as a team to innovate new solutions/programs, cover calls on rotations to ensure management coverage for customers 

Operations and Solutions

Work as a Technical resource and consultant for Ecolab Field Operations Teams supporting customers: support on challenging, unique, or new Factories; support for Factories with high interior pest activity that has been ongoing; support for Factories that have been on escalation for extended periods of time

Supporting CAM in identifying & summarizing key performance indicators, and pulling data to merchandise the hard work and efforts of the field

Meet with customers weekly to review locations with concerns, whether it be with pests, or structural and sanitation conditions

Support business reviews where necessary with CAM and customers in attendance

Provide solutions that will also drive Contract and Non-Contract growth

Minimum Qualifications:

BS degree in Business, Marketing or a technical field

7 + yrs.

experience working in the P est E limination field in customer facing roles in a team environment

Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, including overnight and weekends

Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record

Must be able to read and write in English

 Proven professional demeanor and communication skills with all levels of organization

Excellent organizational skills and good attention to detail

Demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks

Negotiation and conflict management

Proven relationship management and consulting skills

Excellent problem-solving ability to determine customer solutions

Self-motivated, goal oriented, quality driven, and capable of working independently with little supervision
