Tax Manager

Our client, a full-service investment and asset management firm is seeking a qualified individual for a Tax Manager position. This individual will assist the CFO with the review of annual tax returns, preparation of tax projections, compliance, analysis and research of tax related transactions. This position will be based in Los Angeles office and will report directly to the CFO.

Overview of the Tax Manager role:

  • Assist with review of annual tax returns.
  • Prepare tax projections for operating companies and principals.
  • Assist COO and CFO with tax strategies for new deals.
  • Review depreciation schedules and prepare tax capital projections for LIHTC deals. Research and respond to tax related notices.
  • Maintain tax credit schedules.
  • Ensure timely tax payments.
  • Inform senior management with the latest tax updates.
  • Assist with various tasks assigned by CFO.

Preferred Qualification for the Tax Manager:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a tax manager.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance is preferred.
  • Combined public accounting and industry experience is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Affordable housing background is a plus.
