Tax Manager

This is a Full-time position in Los Angeles, CA posted September 9, 2021.

We are partnered with a global tech company searching for a tax manager who has experience with federal and state level returns, a working understanding of GAAP, and high attention to detail. This role is 100% remote and pays a quarterly bonus. If this sounds like a great fit, then we are looking for you!


  • Assist in filing federal, state and local tax documents by creating, updating and providing necessary information to the tax preparer.
  • Prepares tax provision schedules by reviewing current and consolidated earnings.
  • Recommends tax strategies by researching federal, state and local taxation issues.
  • Maintains legislative materials by reviewing, interpreting, and implementing new or revised laws.
  • Maintains compliance with regulations by forwarding required information to federal, state, and local authorities.
  • Revises procedures by developing and streamlining procedures and worksheets for calculation of tax provisions.
  • Identifies profitability of potential mergers and acquisitions by analyzing tax information; calculating key ratios; identifying areas of tax savings.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.


  • Attains a thorough understanding and application of GAAP.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees.
  • Attains highly analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to acclimate and work in a high pace environment.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel (Access is a plus).
  • Knowledge of SQL and Macro is a plus.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Master’s degree in Taxation.
  • CPA/CPA Candidate.
  • Three to five years of accounting with a specialization in taxation.
  • PREFERRED: Three years in public accounting from Big Four or equivalent.
