We are partnered with a global tech company searching for a tax manager who has experience with federal and state level returns, a working understanding of GAAP, and high attention to detail. Responsibilities
- Assist in filing federal, state and local tax documents by creating, updating and providing necessary information to the tax preparer.
- Prepares tax provision schedules by reviewing current and consolidated earnings.
- Recommends tax strategies by researching federal, state and local taxation issues.
- Maintains legislative materials by reviewing, interpreting, and implementing new or revised laws.
- Maintains compliance with regulations by forwarding required information to federal, state, and local authorities.
- Revises procedures by developing and streamlining procedures and worksheets for calculation of tax provisions.
- Identifies profitability of potential mergers and acquisitions by analyzing tax information; calculating key ratios; identifying areas of tax savings.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Requirements

- Proficient in MS Word and Excel (Access is a plus).
- Knowledge of SQL and Macro is a plus.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Master’s degree in Taxation.
- CPA/CPA Candidate.
- Three to five years of accounting with a specialization in taxation.
- PREFERRED: Three years in public accounting from Big Four or equivalent.
