Tax Director

Andrews & Cole is currently partnering with a growing real estate company in Los Angeles that is looking for a Tax Director to add to the team. The role will be full-time onsite and report to the CFO.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reporting closing process
  • Manage Annual Tax Compliance documentation process and ensure timely submission
  • Oversee tax-related matters for partnerships, including handling partnership allocations and ensuring compliance with partnership agreements
  • Develop and implement opportunities for process standardization and improvement in tax procedures
  • Stay up-to-date with tax laws and regulations that impact the business and make recommendations accordingly
  • Supervise tax audits, litigations, and communications with tax authorities, courts, and external advisors
  • Ensure compliance with transfer pricing rules and regulations
  • Manage internal relationships and third-party partners regarding accounting, legal, regulator, and tax
  • Manage sales and use tax, property tax, and miscellaneous reporting requirements
  • Develop strong working relationships with senior management and other functions

Qualifications:

  • Master’s in Taxation and CPA is required
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a corporate tax environment
  • Minimum of 3 years of Big 4 public accounting preferred
  • REIT, real estate, or/and partnership tax experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of Real Estate Tax and U.S. GAAP reporting for income taxes
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
