Superintendent

Must have experience in the CONSTRUCTION industry as an ASSISTANT SUPER/SUPER with experience on ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS
– DATA CENTERS in order to be considered for this opportunity DescriptionThe Superintendent has overall responsibility for projects on-site including site access, scheduling, deliveries, logistics, safety, quality and construction.

The core job duties include multi-tasking, functioning effectively under strict time constraints, and being able to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while demonstrating a team-player attitude.

The Superintendent works closely with the Project Manager to ensure execution of the project plan and is involved in all aspects of a project from pre-construction through closeout.

Essential Functions: .

Actively participate, creatively and practically in developing and delivering potential client pitches as it relates to field activities.

.

Actively participate in pre-construction scheduling, logistics, and planning to provide input and guidance on logistical issues, constructability concerns, and subcontractor scope reviews to ensure the project is bid, and bought out accurately.

.

Create, maintain and update accurate and detailed project schedules and weekly look-aheads; incorporate and provide input on the feasibility of the owner&039;s milestone dates; produce weekly updates including progress photos; and schedule inspections.

.

Coordinate field team, subcontractors, and owner vendors with proactive communication, and lead and document coordination and weekly foreman meetings.

.

Proactively recognize and work to resolve on-site challenges and issues for a timely resolution with minimum cost impact.

.

Document and maintain a complete and updated field set of documents, validate all subcontractor RFIs before submitting, and suggest no cost field resolutions where appropriate.

.

Manage the close out process to obtain all required inspections, ensure timely completion of punch list work, successful commissioning of equipment, and training of the owner and/or owner vendors.

.

Be an ambassador for Clune&039;s safety culture and OSHA standards to maintain a safe work environment and lead and document safety meetings.

.

Review general conditions and labor requirements with project management team keeping financial commitments top of mind throughout the project.

.

Become proficient in, and utilize, Clune established systems and technology to work efficiently and to the highest standards.

.

Participate in business development and client relationship management by attending client events and maintaining relationships with past and current clients, designers, and building managers.

Education and Experience: .

6-15 years of experience managing commercial interior, healthcare and/or mission-critical projects.

.

Experience managing all aspects of field operations including scheduling, quality control and coordinating sub-contractors.

in construction trades and technical knowledge.

.

Proficiency with scheduling software.

.

Solid written and verbal communication skills.

Work Environment: -Work will be completed on the job site; regular work days and hours are Monday through Friday from 6:30AM
– 3:30PM.

-While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear; climb stairs and/or ladders, and walk on uneven ground.
