Studio Manager

STUDIO MANAGER FOR COMPOSER STUDIO

Job Description:

The studio manager manages overall accounting for the studio, keeps close track of ongoing projects to ensure that they are on schedule and that clients’ specific needs are being met.

Clients include directors, producers, show-runners, production studios and networks.

This is not a musical position, this position is entirely business-centric.

You will ultimately also be responsible for hiring and managing a larger team
– composers assistants, any new hires, additional writers, interns, etc.

Skills Required:

•Accounting tasks such as payroll, billing and managing budgets per project

•Working with tax preparer for monthly and year end accounting

•Budgeting, hiring musicians
– sending W9’s, receiving invoices

•Personnel management

•Schedule management

•High level of professionalism and administrative skills when interfacing with clients.

Formal email etiquette and in person (though in person won’t be for awhile)

•Updating composer website with completed projects

•Client retention and follow up

•Must be proactive, self-starter and not wait for instruction

May work remotely, preferably someone in Los Angeles or PST time zone.

May eventually have in person meetings later in 2
