Sr. Project Manager

Our client in the Los Angeles area is looking to hire a Sr. Project Manager. The Sr. Project Manager will lead technical projects including project planning, tracking, implementation, and risk management. The ideal candidate would have experience working on multiple digital initiatives working on both agilescrum and non-agile projects. This position will be remote to begin, but ultimately will move to working onsite at their Los Angeles location Los Angeles, CA 90013 The role will begin as a contract position, but the client is looking to convert this resource permanent after a 6 month contract period. Prior software engineering or technical leadership experience preferred Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and ability to present both technical and non-technical project information Ability to drive consensus across a diverse group of internal and external partners Ability to identifying risks, blind-spots and think strategically Experience using tools for project management including Jira, Confluence, and GSuite Eager to start fast, self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and enjoys taking the reins in sometimes ambiguous situations Excited by the challenge to be part of a high growth startup that delivers significant impact for employers and their employees Industry certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI, CAPM, or CSM) a plus EEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
