The Role

The AMD Product Security Strategy (PSS) is looking for an experienced Product Manager to own define product security strategy for Client, Server and Graphic business unit

The Person

We are looking for a product manager to join our team, who will play a key role in defining and managing driving long term security hardware technology roadmap from concept to production for AMD business.?You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of security hardware technologies. In this role, you will interface with business, engineering executives to drive consistency, clarity, and cohesiveness to the security development programs and priorities across AMD. A successful candidate will work closely with AMD key Operating Systems (OS), Cloud Service Providers (CSP) and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partners to ensure success and adoption of AMD security technologies

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and clearly communicate security product roadmap(s) from conception to launch, driving end-to-end program execution, lead program and direction discussions
  • Drive and develop strategy for a product team, and providing detailed product guidance including user stories, acceptances criteria and metrics
  • Create, document and communicate strong product security requirements for AMD hardware and software products across multiple line of business
  • Conduct analyses to determine the competitive landscape for security features.
  • Coordinate the cross-functional development of security technologies and work closely with internal customers to translate requests into prioritized work or features
  • Maintain close relationship with AMD key partners (OS, OEMs, CSPs) and understand requirements, desired intercept timelines and factor them into product roadmap
  • As product and subject matter expert create comprehensive communication strategy related to security and produce high-quality papers, presentations, recommendations, and findings for senior executives and external customers
  • Work with marketing, PR, legal, sales, operations, and other stakeholders to communicate upcoming features and participate in go-to-market planning and execution.
  • Experience engaging directly with senior corporate executives

Preferred Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of proven security product management experience in dynamic and competitive industry
  • Experience developing and driving strategy for a product team, and providing detailed product guidance
  • Understanding of existing and emerging security technologies, common threat on hardware/software/firmware, industry standards focused on security, security compliance regulations and standards such as FIPS, NIST Cybersecurity framework, Common Criteria, FedRamp etc
  • Demonstrated ability to make prioritization and trade-off recommendations that support program execution
  • Ability to build relationships and proven record of enacting change through influence in a matrixed organization.
  • Stakeholder management experience with the ability to create relationships, influence, and collaborate at all organizational levels and with various cross-functional partners.
  • Experience working with relevant products and technologies and the ability to translate technical issues into impact on product direction.
  • Ability to push ideas and influence decision making collaborative environment
  • Demonstrated experience providing written and verbal presentations to senior executives, and executive bodies

Academic Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
